The Art of J.Scott Kaynor A.K.A. XOT
Artist J. Scott (XOT) Kaynor, resident of Seattle, WA has been painting professionally since 1997. His work has been defined as urban contemporary and has taken the form of canvas paintings, posters, stickers, sign boards, and a variety of murals, outdoor and indoor from a post office panoramic to childrens room fantasy scenes.
Scott started at the age of 16 painting two large outdoor murals for a local historic bookstore and antique shop. These first two murals then attracted the attention of the business next door who asked him for an outdoor mural of their own. Immediately after, the city post office across the street contacted him for his third and as of that point his largest job, a 20' X 60' Mural.
Other Mural and sign commissions ensued including childrens rooms, nurseries, restaurants, etc. Eventually Scott moved to New York where he had the opportunity to meet other artisans including sculpters and canvas artists who would inspire him later as he moved on throughout the country pursuing his passion. He spent time defining his craft in New York, Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington State.
